Of course we won’t send you to China unprepared. While still home in the familiar Netherlands you will attend a small Chinese language course. Not only will you learn some basic Chinese, you will also be introduced to the Chinese habits. Just enough so you won’t wish dead upon someone while eating in a Chinese restaurant.
In December we will organize together with Studium Generale an evening about the influence of propaganda and communism. Professor Landsberger (University of Leiden and Amsterdam) will show you the details of these parts of the Chinese Culture. During this night a Chinese and Dutch student will also show you their personal experiences of the Dutch and Chinese culture.
